The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar celebrated its 12th foundation day with an event that highlighted the institution’s journey of development, faculty expansion, and academic achievements. Information was available with The Chenab Times that Professor Samir K Srivastava, Director of IIM Amritsar, addressed the gathering, detailing the institute’s significant growth. He noted the expansion of its faculty, academic programmes, and student community, which has grown from an initial batch of 120 students to over 700 students currently enrolled in various programs. Professor Srivastava encouraged students and faculty to embrace future learning opportunities, emphasizing that education extends beyond the campus boundaries.
A special segment of the celebration, titled “11 Years of IIM Amritsar,” provided a retrospective look at the institute’s evolution. This segment documented the institution’s transformation from its initial campus located within the regional polytechnic to its current, fully operational, state-of-the-art campus at Manawala. The review underscored the substantial development and infrastructural advancements made over the years.
Dr. Arun Kaushik, Dean (Administration) at IIM Amritsar, reiterated the institute’s steadfast dedication to fostering academic excellence, promoting innovation, and contributing to nation-building. His remarks reinforced the core values and strategic direction of the institution.
