Jammu and Kashmir: JKSSB Invites Applications for 2,863 Posts Across Union Territory Departments

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has opened the application window for 2,863 vacancies spread across various departments of the Union Territory administration. The recruitment drive, detailed under Advertisement Notification No. 09 of 2026 dated September 1, covers posts in UT, divisional, and district cadres, aiming to fill essential roles within the government machinery.

Information was available with The Chenab Times that eligible candidates can submit their applications online starting from October 5. The deadline for the submission of applications is November 3. Prospective applicants are required to be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and must possess a valid J&K Domicile Certificate by the final application submission date.

The age criteria for applicants vary depending on their category. Candidates falling under the Open Merit category have an upper age limit of 40 years. For candidates belonging to reserved categories, the upper age limit is generally set at 43 years, with provisions for applicable age relaxations as per government regulations.

Educational qualifications are stipulated based on the specific posts being applied for. For positions such as Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Class-IV roles, the educational requirements range from matriculation to 10+2 level completion. Similarly, for the posts of Sanitation Workers, the minimum educational qualification requirement varies from passing Class 8 to completing 10+2, contingent upon the specific responsibilities of the role.
