A joint team of troops of Indian Army and Kishtwar Police today, successfully accomplished major recovery of arms, ammunition & war like stores, belonging to militant outfits, by unearthing their cache in Chhachchha forest of Kishtwar district.
After a long search, Security Forces unearthed a hideout and recovered large cache of arms, ammunition & war like stores. The recoveries included one AK 56 Rifle, one magazine with 27 rounds, one Under Barrel Grenade Launcher, one 9mm Pistol, one Pistol Magazine with six rounds. The busting of the hideout has foiled the nefarious designs of the militants and their supporters.
This successful operation at Chhachchha region of Kishtwar district has driven another nail in the coffin of terrorism in the region and a setback to anti-national elements, who are trying to revive the militancy in the area.
