Sikh Girl Controversy Ended: Won’t allow anyone to harm Sikh-Muslim brotherhood, says Shiromani Akali Dal

S Paramjit Singh, the president of the Shiromani Akali Dal, said on Tuesday that some people are attempting to harm the brotherhood between Sikhs and Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir, and that society must play a role in thwarting such plans.

According to the Kashmir News Observer, S Paramjit Singh thanked the administration for supporting the minority community while speaking at a press conference with other members here.

He added that they met with members of the Mirwaiz Umar Farooq group as well as religious clerics, and that they cannot forgive them for their support.

There was no forcible conversion or marriage, which is being spread by some people here. The brotherhood between Muslims and Sikhs has been there for the last 500 year. We won’t allow anyone to harm it,” he said.
