‘Show cause’ notice served to 21 employees in Kishtwar for being absent during duty hours

Officials in Kishtwar district claimed authorities served ‘show cause’ notices to 21 employees who were found absent during a surprise visit to government offices on Friday.

According to them, the visits were done by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Sham Lal in order to verify attendance in government offices.

During his visit, they found 21 employees who were absent without leave, as well as the district drug control office, which was locked, PTI reported.

As a result, the ADDC issued a show-cause notice to these 21 employees and ordered their salaries to be withheld, according to officials.

According to the officers, he directed the concerned officers to seek an explanation from the absentees within three days and to take further action against them.
