In another development, Jammu and Kashmir police in Doda district have apprehended two notorious bovine smugglers and rescued fifteen bovine animals from the Dessa area of Doda district.
In a statement issued to The Chenab Times, Doda Police said that on the basis of specific information about bovine smuggling, a police party led by Head Constable Shiv Charan laid a Naka and apprehended three bovine smugglers, namely Noor Hussain son of Ghulam Mohd, resident of Korna Tehsil and District Kishtwar and Noor Mohd son of Mussa, resident of Korna Tehsil and District Kishtwar, who were taking 15 bovines from Chatroo Marg Dhar to Shapurshal Dhar Dessa towards Kashmir for selling purpose.
In this connection, a case FIR No.09/2022 under the relevant section has been registered at Police Station Dessa and investigation has started.
It is pertinent to mention here that under operation Kamdhenu, Doda Police has registered a number of cases against bovine smugglers and habitual smugglers have also been booked under PSA.
