Kishtwar Mourns the Passing of Dedicated Youth Leader, Wasil Doolwal

Kishtwar – In a somber moment, the public of Chenab Valley in Jammu and Kashmir came together to mourn the untimely demise of Wasil Doolwal, a dynamic 36-year-old youth leader affiliated with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Wasil Doolwal, known for his unwavering dedication to guiding and uplifting the youth in a positive way, passed away today on 17 October after battling a prolonged illness.

Wasil Doolwal’s life was marked by his commitment to serving the less fortunate and advocating for the rights of the underprivileged. His tireless efforts left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dr. Nazir Hussain, Medical Officer and President of the National Health Mission (NHM) Association in Kishtwar District, extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of NHM Association Kishtwar. Dr. Hilal Rafiq Doolwal, an NHM employee and the late Wasil Doolwal’s brother, exemplified the family’s dedication to public service. Mr. Mansoor Doolwal, a Senior Assistant at the District Hospital in Kishtwar and Wasil’s uncle, shared in the collective sorrow of losing a promising young leader, according to Hussain.

In his condolence message, Dr. Nazir Hussain emphasized the selflessness and unwavering commitment that Wasil Doolwal displayed in his pursuit of helping the disadvantaged. He acknowledged the profound impact of Wasil’s advocacy and the void left behind by his passing.

Senior PDP leader, District Vice President Talib Hussain, expressed his condolences and prayed that Allah bless Wasil’s soul with the highest attainment of Jannah while giving his family the strength to bear the loss.

Congress Youth Leader Asif Iqbal Butt, too, extended his heartfelt condolences, recognizing Wasil Doolwal’s undaunted efforts for the welfare of the marginalized community. He stated that Wasil’s legacy would be remembered for generations to come.

Ex-MLA Inderwal and Vice-chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party GM Saroori offered prayers and expressed deep sorrow over the loss. They invoked the Islamic prayer, “إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ,” and prayed for Wasil’s forgiveness and elevation to the highest ranks in the hereafter.

Kishtwar-based journalist Asif Iqbal Naik reported that thousands of people participated in the Nimaz-e-Janaza, as Wasil Doolwal was laid to rest in the historic graveyard of Kishtwar near Bun Astan. He referred to Wasil as the “Roaring Lion of Kishtwar” and prayed that Almighty Allah bless him with the highest place in Jannah.
