The news of the student’s demise has sent shockwaves through his family, relatives, and neighbours. Divyansh’s father, Surinder Singh, is reportedly working abroad.

The Mukerian police have taken possession of both vehicles involved in the collision and have sent the body for post-mortem examination. Authorities have registered a case against the tempo traveller driver, identified as Kabir Ahmad, a resident of Rajouri, Jammu, and are continuing further investigations into the incident.

Family members disclosed that it was the younger brother’s birthday, and Divyansh had initially been reluctant to attend tuition that morning. However, he was persuaded to go, with birthday celebrations planned for the evening.

In a separate incident in Hoshiarpur, another road accident claimed the life of a young man and left another injured. Pradeep Singh was travelling on a motorcycle with his friend Gagandeep Singh when a vehicle approaching from the opposite direction collided with them near the Lalpur village turn. Pradeep Singh died at the scene, while Gagandeep Singh sustained injuries and was admitted to a hospital for treatment. The police have taken custody of the vehicles involved and have initiated an investigation.
