SRINAGAR: A 26-year-old man has died following a road accident in the Thajiwara area of Achabal, located in the Anantnag district of South Kashmir, officials reported on Sunday.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the deceased has been identified as Owais Ahmad Shah, son of Mohammad Yaseen Shah, a resident of Shirpora in Anantnag.
According to official sources, Shah was critically injured in the incident and was promptly transported to the Government Medical College, Anantnag. Medical personnel at the institution pronounced him dead upon arrival.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered a case concerning the accident and have initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the fatality. Further details are awaited as the inquiry progresses.
