SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat has congratulated the newly selected candidates for the Jammu and Kashmir Police (Gazetted) Services, emphasizing that the police uniform signifies immense responsibility and inherent risks. Addressing the recruits after they received their appointment orders, Prabhat highlighted that while the day marks happiness for the candidates and their families, it also heralds the commencement of a significant service commitment.
“Wearing the uniform is not easy. It comes with responsibility,” Prabhat stated, as detailed by information available with The Chenab Times. He acknowledged that the officers would face numerous challenges during their service, potentially including situations that pose a risk to their lives. The DGP assured the new recruits that their upcoming training would be rigorous, designed to strengthen them mentally and physically to confront any eventuality.

The DGP further elaborated that the training curriculum is intended to equip the newly selected officers with the necessary skills and confidence to meet the demanding requirements of police service and to discharge their duties with unwavering dedication.
