Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) road are open for traffic while the Mughal road remains closed due to heavy snowfall. This information was provided by the authorities in their latest traffic update at 7:00am on Saturday.
The Mughal road remains closed due to heavy snowfall. The road is an important link between the Kashmir Valley and the Pir Panjal region. The closure of the road has caused inconvenience to the people living in the area as it is the only road that connects them with the rest of the state.
The authorities have said that they are working on clearing the road and will open it for traffic as soon as it is safe to do so. They have also advised the people living in the area to avoid travelling on the road until it is officially declared open.
