In anticipation of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations and as part of an ongoing effort to bolster security measures, Dr. Sunil Gupta, IPS, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban (DKR) Range, chaired a high-level meeting at the District Headquarters in Doda today. The meeting focused on evaluating security arrangements and reviewing ongoing investigations, with a particular emphasis on cases related to terrorism and drugs.
The meeting was attended by key law enforcement officials, including Sh. Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Shri Shakeel Rehman-JKPS, Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) Headquarters Doda, Shri Vinod Kumar, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Bhaderwah, and other prominent officers. Also present were Shri Jaswant Singh-JKPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP) Headquarters Doda, Shri Vaseem Mehmood-JKPS, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Bhaderwah, Shri Adil Hussain-JKPS, SDPO Gandoh, Shri Susheel Kumar, Dy.SP DAR Doda, and all Station House Officers (SHOs) of District Doda.
During the meeting, DIG DKR Range delved into the progress of various ongoing investigations and under-trial cases. Emphasizing the need for thorough and effective investigations, he provided on-the-spot directives to ensure the quality of inquiry and the diligent pursuit of cases during trial. The DIG underlined the importance of utilizing technological advancements to enhance both the investigative and trial processes, reflecting a commitment to upholding the principles of justice.
Significant cases were discussed in detail, and DIG DKR Range issued pivotal supervisory instructions to guide the proceedings. Furthermore, the meeting addressed several strategic operations, including Operation MILAN, Operation SAJRA, Operation TOUCH, Operation PATHSHALA, KAMDHENU, BACHAV, SANJEEVANI, and Operation THIRD EYE. Attendees were encouraged to promote the installation of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras within local communities, as part of efforts to bolster surveillance and security measures.
