Petrol and diesel prices continued to rise for the 8th consecutive day on Tuesday. Petrol has crossed Rs 89 in Delhi, while Rs 95.75 is being sold in Mumbai, and the rapid rise in crude oil is not expected to curb the inflation of petrol and diesel.
Petrol has become costlier by Rs 2.34 a liter for seven consecutive days in Delhi, while the price of diesel has increased by Rs 2.57 per liter.

According to information received from IOCL, the price of petrol and diesel has increased by 30 paise in Delhi, 29 paise in Kolkata and Mumbai and 26 paise per liter in Chennai. At the same time, the price of diesel has increased by 35 paise in Delhi and Kolkata, 38 paise in Mumbai and 33 paise in Chennai.
Fresh prices of petrol and diesel have increased to Rs 89.29, Rs 90.54, Rs 95.75 and Rs 91.45 per liter, respectively, in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai, according to the website of Indian Oil. Diesel prices have also increased to Rs 79.70, Rs 83.29, Rs 86.72 and Rs 84.77 per liter in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai respectively.
How much has increased in the year 2020
Petrol and diesel prices have become more expensive by about Rs 6 per liter till now. First, if you talk about diesel, then it has increased by Rs 5.83 in Delhi, Rs 5.85 in Kolkata, Rs 6.21 in Mumbai and Rs 5.56 per liter in Chennai. Talking about the price of petrol, it has seen an increase of Rs 5.58 in Delhi, Rs 5.35 in Kolkata, Rs 5.41 in Mumbai and Rs 4.94 per liter in Chennai.
