Authorities recovered a large sum of cash, including currency notes and coins, from a homeless woman’s temporary shelter in Rajouri district’s Nowshera town on Tuesday morning.

According to officials, a team from the municipal committee and tehsil administration was sent to the homeless woman’s temporary shelter on Monday to pack her belongings in preparation for her transfer to a government shelter.

According to them, the woman was later taken to a government-run homeless shelter in Rajouri town.

Officials said that on Tuesday, a team was dispatched to the woman’s temporary shelter, where they discovered three plastic vegetable packing boxes and one jute bag, among other items.

They stated that boxes had been concealed within the shelter and that during the search, currency notes and coins of various denominations were discovered.

They stated that the tehsil administration had seized the currency.
