Major social media services such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram had a global outage on Monday. Users from India, Brazil, Uruguay, Bangladesh, Argentina, Chile, the United States, and the United Kingdom have reported problems with social media sites, according to the The Chenab Times. The sites went down at 09:10 p.m. IST, prompting a barrage of funny memes and jokes on Twitter.

Instagram says it “couldn’t refresh the feed” while WhatsApp isn’t transmitting or receiving messages. Similarly, it takes an eternity for the Facebook page to load.
