Kishtwar Police, as part of its ongoing efforts to combat the consumption/production of illicit liquor in the district, seized 10 litres of Desi liquor from the Nazala Sigdi area of Chatroo.
According to a statement issued, “The police party of PS Chatroo developed specific information on the sale and production of Desi illicit liquor at Nazala Sigdi area.” Acting swiftly, the police party of PS Chatroo, headed by Insp Sameer Ahmed, along with PSI Ankush Sharma, IC PP Mughalmaidan, raided the suspected location and seized 10 litres of Desi liquor and arrested the accused person from the spot.
The arrested person is identified as Ram Chand S/o Sonu Ram R/o Nazala Sigdi.
Accordingly, case FIR No. 52/2022 U/Sec 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at PS Chatroo and investigation has been taken up.
