Doda, 3 July — A tragic road accident in Puldoda on Thursday claimed the life of a young man, sparking grief across the local community. Sanjay Kumar, said to be a Village Level Worker (VLW) with the Rural Development Department (RDD) at Dali Udhyanpur Block, died on the spot after his motorcycle (JK06B-1696) was struck by a truck (PB12M-8849).
Sanjay Kumar is said to be a resident of Puneja Panshaie, Tehsil Bhalla, District Doda. His sudden death has sent shockwaves through his native village and among his colleagues in the department.
Authorities have shifted the body to the Associated Hospital GMC Doda for medico-legal formalities.
The driver of the truck has been arrested, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident. Further details are awaited.
