Thermax Limited announced on Saturday that its subsidiary, Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions (TBWES), has been awarded a significant boiler package supply order valued at approximately Rs 1,600 crore. The order is for an ultra-supercritical thermal power project.
The Chenab Times has learned that TBWES secured the Rs 1,600 crore contract from a prominent thermal power projects company operating in Central India. The project involves the construction of a 1×800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant. The scope of work stipulated in the order encompasses the manufacturing, supply, commissioning, and performance testing of the boiler package.
Ashish Bhandari, Managing Director and CEO of Thermax, stated in a company release that this order represents a substantial achievement for Thermax, underscoring its established capabilities in delivering large-scale energy solutions. He expressed gratitude to the customer for their confidence in Thermax and conveyed anticipation for project delivery within accelerated timelines and successful execution.
Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions specializes in providing equipment and solutions for steam generation, catering to both process and power requirements. The company utilizes a range of fuels, including solid, liquid, and gaseous options, and also employs heat recovery methods from turbine/engine exhaust and industrial processes. Furthermore, TBWES offers heaters for diverse applications within the chemical, petrochemical, and refinery sectors. Its service division is equipped to provide renovation and modernization solutions for older boiler and heater systems.
