A 14-year-old boy sustained significant injuries to his face after allegedly being attacked with a blade during a quarrel with several individuals in the Sultanpuri area of outer Delhi, police confirmed on Saturday.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the incident occurred in Sultanpuri, where the victim reportedly engaged in an altercation with two boys, estimated to be around 16 years old, and another male, aged between 18 and 20.
According to preliminary police reports, the victim sustained laceration injuries on both his cheeks during the dispute. He was subsequently transported to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial (SGM) Hospital in Mangolpuri for treatment. A medico-legal case (MLC) was prepared at the hospital.
Authorities stated that there was no initial PCR call made regarding the assault. The matter came to the attention of the police only after the injured boy was brought to the hospital. Based on the statement provided by the injured minor, the police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) and initiated legal proceedings.
In the course of the ongoing investigation, one juvenile suspect has been detained by the police. Efforts are actively underway to identify and apprehend the remaining individuals believed to be involved in the altercation.
