A tragic accident occurred in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday when a school bus veered off the road and fell into a gorge, resulting in the death of the driver and injuries to two girl students.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the incident took place in the Neego Brenwar village of Budgam district. The driver of the bus reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid off the road and tumble into a deep gorge.
The driver sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The two girl students who were on board the bus sustained injuries and were immediately rescued by authorities and locals. They were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Emergency services and local administration personnel were quick to respond, arriving at the accident site to initiate rescue operations. The retrieval of the damaged school bus from the gorge was subsequently carried out.
Officials have stated that the condition of the injured students is stable and they are receiving appropriate medical care. The Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered a case regarding the incident and have commenced an investigation to determine the precise cause of the accident. The exact circumstances leading to the driver losing control of the vehicle are under scrutiny.
