According to preliminary reports, Akshansh had been bedridden for the past two to three years following a serious accident. He was receiving regular physiotherapy sessions at his home, with a physiotherapist visiting him for treatment.

On Friday, the physiotherapist arrived for a scheduled visit but received no response from inside the house. Assuming Akshansh was asleep, the physiotherapist departed without entering. Later that evening, the physiotherapist contacted relatives of the family who reside in Bilaspur and frequently assisted Kumud Sharma and Akshansh.
