Accidents involving vehicles plunging into gorges are not uncommon in the mountainous terrains of Jammu and Kashmir, often attributed to factors such as sharp turns, poor road conditions, speeding, or driver fatigue. Authorities often issue advisories urging caution for drivers traversing these routes. The investigation into the specifics of this particular accident is expected to determine the precise cause of the vehicle skidding off the road.

Ghulam Mohiuddin Ganai is survived by his family, and his death highlights the dangers posed by road accidents in challenging terrains. The local police are likely to have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal crash. The incident serves as a stark reminder for increased vigilance and adherence to traffic regulations while traveling in the valley’s scenic but often perilous roadways.
