In a tragic incident, an Indian Army helicopter crashed in the Marwah area of Kishtwar district on Thursday, May 4th. Among the three army officers on board, the commanding officer was also present. The pilots of the helicopter were also among the three army officers.
According to initial reports reached The Chenab Times, the helicopter crashed near the village of Machna in Sumbal. Two of the three army officers on board have been brought out of the wreckage and are being treated for their injuries. However, one person is still trapped in the wreckage.
Rescue operation has been launched, and further details are awaited. The cause of the crash is not yet known, and a statement from the army is expected soon.
