As you all know, NEET UG is conducted by NTA once every year. NEET UG 2022 is about to happen on July 17th this year. Amid demand for postponement by millions of students, NTA gave a clear clarification and stated that no postponement at this stage is possible.
NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST
NEET (UG) is basically the All India Pre Medical Test for students who wish to pursue medical courses like MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc).
This exam is conducted once a year by the National Testing Agency and is a single entrance test. This year, almost 18.5 lakh students registered for NEET.
Let’s discuss the syllabus
There are approximately 98 chapters, and to attain maximum marks in the exam, you have to revise all these chapters again and again. The best way to revise is to go through your notes and, most importantly, NCERT.
NCERT is the key to success in this examination.
Revise every chapter every day. There are approximately 20 days, and you have to complete all 98 chapters in those days at least once.
I plan to complete 98 chapters.
As you know, you have 20 days left. Revise at most 4 chapters a day of each subject, like one from Physics, one from Chemistry, one from Botany, and one from Zoology. By this method, in a day you will revise 4 chapters, and for the whole syllabus it will take 17 days to complete, and you still have 3 days left for you to easily revise.
How many hours should a student give to a subject?
From my personal point of view, I would give a maximum of 2 hours for each subject. It took 8 hours from your day.
8 hours of smart study is enough for you.
Bruc Lee once quoted, “I fear not the man who has practised 10,000 kicks once, but the man who has practised one kick 10,000 times.” This quote perfectly justifies what your course of action at this crunch time should shape up into. Know the basics of acing the exams, stick to them, and practise them over and over. In other words, just gaining mastery over the limited steps is enough. This means you have to practise everything repeatedly.
Daily Goal
Set daily goals that at the end of the day must be achieved. One must equally divide time between all the sections, covering all subjects, hence keeping track. An even distribution of time also ensures a balance is created, and this satisfaction is important. Subsequently, topics are regularly revised and numerical problems solved consistently. Follow this routine for the next 20 days.
The preceding strategy was discussed.
Importance of Previous Years’ Questions & Mock Tests
Effective time management is a must-have skill. It is a critical skill to be acquired by students to crack NEET exams with good marks. Focus more on practising questions and papers from previous years, a minimum of 20 years’ papers. Solve one paper every day. Also, take practise tests every day. Practising these tests will help students get acquainted with the actual exam scenario with regards to the exam duration, paper pattern, marking scheme, bubbling OMR sheet, the difficulty level of the paper, etc. critical parameters. One can improve and enhance their speed and accuracy with these tests, which serve as the key. Hence, it is advised to practise full-length mock tests. While solving previous years’ papers, check for the unattempted and incorrect responses and work on turning them into correct responses. Make an extra effort over the next 20 days.
Strategy for each subject.
For Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry: Revise your notes and revise NCERT repeatedly and solve PYQS.
- Inorganic Chemistry: Read NCERT line by line and is sufficient for the NEET exam.
- Physical Chemistry: Make a formula sheet for every chapter and do practise a lot.
For Physics
As many students have a fear of physics, here are some tips.
Practice more questions repeatedly and go for conceptual questions. Solve more PYQS. It will help you in attaining a good score in the NEET UG exam.
Practice is the only solution to physics. Also make a formula sheet for every chapter.
For Biology
Everyone loves biology, but don’t take it lightly.
For biology, read NCERT repeatedly. You almost have to complete NCERT 3 times if you want to score 360/360 in the NEET UG exam.
Best Books for 20-Day NEET Preparation Plan
I am also a NEET aspirant and if you take my point of view, NCERT is enough and solving PYQS is enough for you at this stage.
Conclusion
Do your best at this stage. Stress levels are at the peak for many students. Students are advised not to overthink it. Eat, study, and sleep well.
