Guftar Ahmed Chowdhary calls on Lieutenant Governor J&K at Raj Bhawan Jammu

A prominent political activist from Rajouri, Advocate Guftar Ahmed Chowdhary, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan Jammu. In a long-lasting meeting, he submitted a detailed memorandum of demands for KOTRANKA BUDHAL KHAWAS area in particular and PeerPanjal in general.

Adv. Guftar requested LG to start work on the Govt. Degree College in Kotranka ASAP. In the memorandum, the Tehsil status for Budhal, the SDPO office at Kotranka, and the police stations at Khawas and Peeri were projected.

He also requested the establishment of a 400 kV grid station at Rajouri and a 132 kV grid station at Kotranka.

He further requested LG to improve road conditions in rural areas of Budhal constituency, including Peeri Road, Khawas Road, Kanchi Morh to Gai Bass Narla road, etc., along with BGSB University, Rajouri, which is in the worst condition.

He also requested LG to establish an SBI bank branch at Kotranka, a JK bank branch at Mandar Gala, and Kha Jamola & Gai Bass of Narla. The outdoor stadium at Kotranka & Budhal was also mentioned in the memorandum. He also requested making PHC’s functional in far-flung areas.

Adv Guftar requested LG for the regularisation of daily wagers and the need for base workers in J&K. He urged the starting of the recruitment process in the electrical engineering wing as thousands of students are suffering. He also requested exemplary punishment against the scammers who destroyed the precious time of hard-working students.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid a patient hearing to the demands put forth by Adv Guftar Ahmed and assured him that the genuine issues put forth by him would be looked at for early redressal. At last, Guftar Ahmed thanked LG for his pro-public and pro-youth approach.
