According to the Kashmir-based Kashmir News Observer (KNO), on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the Indo-Pak armies exchanged sweets in a meeting held in the twin sectors of Teethwal and Uri this afternoon in the presence of police and other officials.

They claimed that during the sweets exchange, both sides followed all necessary Covid-19 protocols.

Meanwhile, an Amry spokesperson said in a statement that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha, India and Pakistan Armies held a flag meeting and exchanged sweets at Kaman Aman Setu, Uri, and Teethwal Crossing as a gesture for promoting peace, harmony, and compassion in the true spirit of the festival.

He stated that the event was held in strict accordance with the Line of Control ceasefire agreement.

Notably, following the two countries’ recent ceasefire agreement in February, the situation near the fence has improved, with border tourism gaining traction and native people living in peace like never before.

The two armies had previously exchanged sweets at Teethwal bridge in Kupwara on the eve of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
