Dr. Zakir Malik Bhallesi, a writer, social activist, and the President of Aalmi Tahreek e Urdu, has been awarded the Bharat Gaurav Puruskar – 2021 for his remarkable contribution to the advancement of the Urdu language.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal (IAS), Chief Executive Officer, J&K Mission Youth and Commissioner, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, got the coveted award today in Srinagar. Dr. Zakir Malik Bhallesi received the prize in a virtual award ceremony held in New Delhi by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India approved KTK Foundation, New Delhi, and it was handed over to him today by CEO, Mission Youth, J&K. This award was given to a total of 67 people from all across India in various categories. Dr. Malik is the only person from Jammu and Kashmir to receive this honour.
Aalmi Tahreek e Urdu is led by Dr. Zakir Malik Bhallesi. He has written four books in Urdu and edited eight books in English, as well as 300 pieces in national and international journals and newspapers. He has already won 20 prizes, including the renowned Asian Education Award-2020 for his book Danish Gah, the Star India Award, the United Nations 75 Award, and the Urdu Ambassador Award.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal, (IAS), Chief Executive Officer, J&K Mission Youth and Commissioner Tribal Affairs, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, congratulated Dr. Zakir Malik Bhallesi on the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Puruskar 2021, saying that Dr. Zakir Malik Bhallesi is well deserved for this award because he has contributed a lot for the society, particularly for the promotion of Urdu language. Dr. Malik’s optimistic attitude and overall contribution to society were praised by him. He urged young people to use their minds for good purposes.
Meanwhile, Dr. Zakir Malik Bhallesi has expressed gratitude to Dr. Shahid Iqbal, (IAS), Chief Executive Officer, J&K Mission Youth, and Commissioner Tribal Affairs, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, as well as the KTK Foundation in New Delhi, for this important award.
