Deputy Commissioner Doda Holds Crucial Meeting to Discuss Eid-Milad-un-Nabi 2023 Preparations

Deputy Commissioner of Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, along with Senior Superintendent of Police Doda, Abdul Qayoom, convened a significant meeting of key stakeholders today. The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss and plan the arrangements for the upcoming Eid-Milad-un-Nabi celebration in 2023.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Mahajan emphasized the need for meticulous planning to ensure that the celebration of this auspicious occasion proceeds smoothly and without any hitches across all parts of the district. Several critical directives were issued and points of discussion highlighted:

  1. Ensuring Essential Services: It was mandated that the relevant departments must guarantee uninterrupted water and electricity supply, medical facilities, sanitation services, parking provisions, and other logistical necessities for the seamless observance of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi.
  2. Prioritizing Public Safety: In light of the importance of public safety, Deputy Commissioner Mahajan directed the deployment of an adequate number of duty magistrates and police personnel during the festivities. Coordination with religious bodies was encouraged to ascertain procession routes and timings, enabling thorough security deployment along these routes.
  3. Efficient Traffic Management: The meeting charged traffic authorities with the responsibility of formulating comprehensive traffic management and parking plans. These plans aim to facilitate the smooth movement of vehicles and processions on the designated day.
  4. Fire and Emergency Preparedness: The fire and emergency department were instructed to maintain a state of 24/7 readiness. This includes having fire tenders on standby to respond promptly to any potential incidents.
  5. Town Cleanliness: Executive Officers (EOs) of all three Municipal Committees received explicit instructions to ensure that the towns remain clean and orderly during the celebration.
  6. Timely Planning: Deputy Commissioner Mahajan underscored the importance of executing all necessary arrangements well in advance. This proactive approach ensures that the public does not face any inconveniences during this significant occasion.

The meeting was attended by several prominent officials, including ADC Doda Dr. RK Bharti, ADC Bhaderwah Choudhary Dilmir, ASP Bhaderwah, SE PWD, SDMs, SDPOs, CMO Doda, Dy SP Headquarter, Tehsildars, Ex En PWD, Ex En Jal Shakti, Ex En PDD, SHOs, and other relevant stakeholders.
