SSP Doda visits Gandoh, holds a public meeting at Changa

SSP Abdul Qayoom paid a visit to Gandoh and held a public meeting with PRI functionaries, prominent people, and elderly people of the Changa area to listen to their grievances and issues on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by BDC Chairman Changa and other prominent citizens, ex-sarpanches, and members of the panchayat of the area. SDPO Gandoh, Shahzada Kabir Matoo, SHO P/S Gandoh, Insp. Vikram Singh, and I/C PP Changa were also present in the meeting. 

The participants while speaking in the meeting highly appreciated the efforts of police by way of conducting such public outreach programmes in remote areas for listening the problems and issues of the general public. They requested the Police that such public outreach programmes shall be conducted in remote areas frequently to redressed the problems of people residing in remote areas. The participants also appreciated the efforts of Police by launching special drive to round up the Drug peddlers in the area. The participants also appreciated the efforts of Police in resolving theft cases and recovering stolen property worth in lacs.

Moreover, the participants highlighted many demands and issues of the area which includes monitoring and keeping eyes on medical shops which are running in Changa area to control sale of banned medicines by them, VDCs of the area to keep surveillance and check in their villages to stop distillation of illicit liquor in the village, providing of adequate power supply to villages of Changa area and fixing of suitable fare by concerned authority for charging from the travelers in ECCO vehicles.

While addressing the participants, SSP Doda assured them that their issues pertaining to police shall be resolved in shortest possible time while as the issues pertaining to civil dept will be taken up with concerned forum for redressal of the same.

The participants were urged and informed to cooperate and provide assistance to police so that social crime is eradicated from the society. They were also briefed to spread the awareness among general public to adapt COVID appropriate behavior and follow the standing instructions strictly. In the end the participants were thanked for participating in the meeting.
