Doda, Dec 13 — Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited has approved a shutdown of two 11 KV feeders from the Receiving Station Doda for maintenance work on the Khellani-Kishtwar Transmission Line. The outage will affect power supply in Doda city and adjoining areas over two days.
According to details received by The Chenab Times, the shutdown targets City 1 Doda feeder on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and City 3 Doda feeder on Sunday during the same hours. The work involves 11 KV Double Circuit line spanning numbers 101 to 102.
The order, issued by Superintending Engineer O&M Circle Jammu, references a July 2023 circular and an November 2024 letter from the Executive Engineer Doda Division. It directs the executing agency to use safety kits and inform the District Administration and general public in advance through print and electronic media.
Authorities emphasized compliance with standard operating procedures to ensure accident-free working. The District Manager Transmission Line Batote and Executive Sub Transmission Division Doda received copies for necessary action.
No alternative power arrangements were specified in the order. Residents in affected areas have been advised to plan accordingly. The shutdown follows consent from the concerned office dated December 12.
